F3 CrossFire Takes 2nd CFS 2016 Finals

This past weekend, F3 Crossfire traveled to Suzhou, China to represent Europe in the 2016 Crossfire Stars tournament. This years tournament featured a $400,000 prize pool and had the top 16 teams from all over the world competing for it.

The Flipsid3 Tactics team came into the tournament representing Europe after they won the European qualifier tournament. The boys opened the event in group 2 with their match against Freedom Gaming. With a 10-7 victory, they then went on to play the Chinese powerhouse Vici Gaming. They drop the series 10-4 to ViCi, but then battled back with a 10-5 victory against Freedom Gaming in the lower bracket and moving forward in the tournament. In the playoff bracket, they took on Remo Brave from Brazil and RuLegends from Russia. With a clean 2-0 win over RuLegends in the semi-finals put them up against ViCi Gaming once again in the grand finals. After a hard fought series, F3 fell to the power of ViCi and ended the tournament with an impressive 2nd place finish.

Placing 2nd firmly secures their slot as one of the best Crossfire teams in the world and they take home a prize purse of $100,000. They also proved in front of over a million viewers who tuned in that the European Crossfire scene can compete at the highest level and that the F3 squad will be a force to be reckoned with in 2017.
