Today, Flipsid3 Tactics is pleased to announce another acquisition for our Fighting Games Division. David-Paul Mattock, also known as “AutoMattock” and “JiBbo” is joining the division as its coach and analyst, joining other recent additions Matthew “Glitch” Testini and Thomas “Brolynho” Proença. David is a long-time member of the fighting game community, including as one of the two strongest Gens in America during the life of Street Fighter 4. But it was Street Fighter X Tekken where he found most of his success, with his team of Jin and Sagat. He finished in 9th place at Capcom’s 25th Anniversary tournament, and placed Top 8 at EVO the following year. Currently, he is playing Urien in Street Fighter 5, and recently finished in 5th place at Winter Brawl 11. In addition, his Twitter is a wealth of information and “technology,” not just for Urien but other characters and games as well.
Matthew Testini had this to say about David:
David has been very meticulous in not only how he plays, but also in the way he analyzes situations, people, and the game itself. This is why it was a natural choice to have him join the F3 family as our newly appointed coach for our fighting game division.
David-Paul “AutoMattock” Mattock:
In my history as a fighting game player, it has been an incredibly rewarding feeling to have a theory, apply it successfully, and inspire others to have that same experience. With F3, I look forward to expanding my research for the team, and for the FGC at large!
